ST. KEVIN?S FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE IS RECRUITING THE FOLLOWING
POSITION:

COMMUNITY AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT WORKER (PART TIME **APPLY ON THE
WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK)

St. Kevin?s Family Resource Centre is a local family resource centre
working across the communities of Kilnamanagh, Kingswood and Tymon
North in Tallaght. The vision of the organisation is to create an
equal, inclusive and cohesive community, where people have a sense of
belonging. The centre runs several programmes, including early years,
family support, counselling, community education and we support
community leaders and groups. We work from community work values, of
empowerment, participation, social justice, and anti-discrimination.

ROLE SUMMARY: To develop and implement programmes that respond to the
needs of families and the community living in the local area. Working
in partnership with the community, families, and other
organisations/agencies. To support and work in close collaboration
with the Project Co-ordinator to implement the specified aims and
objectives, in relation to this role, in St. Kevin?s FRC?s current
strategic plan.

HOURS OF WORK: Community and Family Development Worker will work a
**Apply on the website**-hour week excluding lunch breaks. S/He will
be expected to be flexible regarding evening and weekend work for
which time off in lieu will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* A relevant third level degree (Community work, Social Care, Family
Support)
* A minimum of two years relevant work experience.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* An understanding of family support and community work, with a focus
on early intervention and prevention work for families and children.
* A knowledge of relevant local, regional and national partners and
structures.
* Experience of sourcing funding.
* Experience of facilitating groups and activities.
* Experience of initiating and seeing through projects.
* A commitment to working collaboratively and within a community
work ethos.
* An understanding of and willingness to contribute to the general
work of the centre.
* Good administration and IT skills.
* Interested in continuous professional development.
* Committed to community work principles of equality, anti-racism
and empowerment.
* Committed to positive social change.
